Shayari AI (“we”, “the service”) is a free, ad-supported mobile-web tool that generates original poetry. We are built to need as little of your data as possible — there are no accounts and no login.
What we collect
- What you type: the mood, language and optional keywords you choose are sent to our AI provider to generate a poem. We do not require, and ask you not to enter, personal information or real names in the keyword field.
- On your device: your saved (favourite) poems and an anonymous random id are stored in your browser’s local storage — never on our servers. Clearing your browser data removes them.
- Technical data: your IP address is used transiently to enforce rate limits and prevent abuse. We do not store it long-term as an identity record.
- Analytics & ads: if enabled, we use privacy- conscious product analytics and Google AdSense, which may set cookies and process data to show and measure ads (see below).
Generated content
Poems and the cards built from them are produced on demand. Generated text is held only transiently to render and share your result; we do not build a long-term profile of what you create. We never ask for or process photographs.
Third parties we use
- Anthropic (Claude): generates the poem text from your selections.
- OpenAI Moderation: screens input and output for unsafe content.
- Google AdSense: serves ads. Google may use cookies and device identifiers to personalise and measure advertising. You can manage ad personalisation at Google Ad Settings.
- Product analytics: records anonymous, aggregated events (e.g. a poem was generated or shared) to improve the service.
Cookies
Essential functionality uses local storage rather than tracking cookies. Advertising and analytics partners may set their own cookies. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings; the core poem-creation flow will still work.
Your rights
Because we do not maintain accounts, most of your data lives on your own device and is under your control. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable law, you may request access to or deletion of any personal data we may hold about you by contacting us at support@banale.in.
Children
The service is intended for users aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
