Dosti Shayari (Friendship)

Warm, loyal verses for the friends who feel like family.

Friendship in India has its own grammar — the friend who shows up uninvited at dinner, who fights with you and feeds you in the same hour, who remembers the things you’d rather forget. Dosti shayari celebrates exactly that: the loyalty that asks for nothing and the comfort of a bond that outlasts the reasons it began.

These original verses are made for sending on a friend’s birthday, on Friendship Day, or on any ordinary afternoon when you suddenly remember how much someone matters. Each is given in Devanagari, roman transliteration and English meaning, so it travels well across any group chat.

Dosti wo rishta hai jo khoon se nahin, Dil se banta hai, aur dil mein rehta hai.

Friendship is the one bond not made of blood — it is made by the heart, and it lives in the heart.

Mushkil waqt mein jo saath khada rahe, Wahi to asli dost kehlaata hai.

The one who keeps standing beside you in hard times — that is the one we call a true friend.

Na koi shart, na koi hisaab, Dosti to bas ek pyaara ehsaas.

No conditions, no accounts kept — friendship is simply a sweet, easy feeling.

Door rehkar bhi jo paas lage, Wo dost zindagi ki poonji hai.

The friend who feels near even from far away — that friend is the true wealth of a life.

Ladte hain, manaate hain, phir hanste hain, Yahi to dosti ki pehchaan hai.

We quarrel, we make up, and then we laugh again — that, after all, is the mark of friendship.

Tere jaisa yaar mila to jaana, Kismat bhi kabhi-kabhi meharbaan hoti hai.

Only when I found a friend like you did I learn that fortune, too, is sometimes kind.

Saalon puraani ho ya nayi-nayi, Sachchi dosti kabhi puraani nahin hoti.

Whether years old or freshly made, a true friendship never grows old.

A real friend becomes your mirror — tells you the truth, yet never leaves your side.

Yaari nibhaana har kisi ke bas ki baat nahin, Sachcha dost kismat se milta hai, yoon hi nahin.

Keeping a friendship is not in everyone’s power — a true friend is granted by fortune, not found by chance.

Hansi-mazaak ho ya koi gehra gham, Har haal mein saath hain hum aur tum.

Whether it’s laughter and teasing or some deep grief — in every state, you and I stand together.

Dost wahi jo bin kahe samajh jaaye, Aankhon ki nami bhi padh liya kare.

A friend is one who understands without a word — who can read even the wetness in your eyes.

Paisa aata-jaata rahega zindagi mein, Par sachche yaar ki koi keemat nahin.

Money will keep coming and going through a life — but a true friend has no price at all.
