About Shayari
shayari.banale.in
Shayari is a small, independent project with one purpose: to give you an original verse for the moment you are in. Pick a mood, a language and a length, and within a few seconds you get a poem written for you — and a clean image card you can share with family and friends on WhatsApp. Alongside the composer, we publish hand-curated reading collections of original shayari, grouped by theme.
Why we built it
Across India, sharing poetry is a daily ritual — a good-morning verse to the family group, a couplet to a friend who needs cheering up, a line for a festival. The trouble is that the same images get forwarded until they lose their meaning. Shayari exists to put something fresh and personal back into that ritual: a verse that fits your moment, instead of a recycled forward everyone has already seen.
Our editorial standards
We take originality and safety seriously, because poetry deserves both.
- Original, never copied. Our verses are AI-crafted to be new work. We explicitly instruct the model never to reproduce the work of classical poets (Ghalib, Iqbal, Kabir, Tulsidas and others) — we draw on the tradition for inspiration, not for copy-paste. The verses in our curated collections are written and reviewed to be original.
- Family-safe by design. Both what you type and what the AI returns are screened by safety filters and a curated denylist. We do not produce content that demeans any religion, caste, community or political figure, and we keep romantic verses tender rather than explicit.
- Respectful of belief. We do not generate images of religious figures, and we steer devotional verses toward universal, positive sentiment.
How the poems are made
Verses are generated on demand using a large language model, then composed onto a typeset card using the same complex-script text shaping we built for Devanagari and Urdu. We do not generate AI photographs of people, and we never ask for or process your photos. Poems you save stay in your own browser, not on our servers.
Who makes Shayari
Shayari is built and run by Banale, an independent studio making small, useful web tools for India. It is operated by a solo maker, which is exactly why your feedback reaches a real person and gets acted on. Shayari is free to use and supported by advertising.
