Deleting your data

Shayari has no accounts and no login, so there is no profile to delete. Almost everything the service keeps about you sits on your own device, where you can remove it yourself in a few seconds. This page lists everything there is and how to clear each part.
On your device — you can delete this yourself
- Saved verses and preferences: stored in your browser’s local storage, never on our servers. Clearing your browser data for shayari.banale.in removes them. In the Android app, use Settings → Apps → Shayari → Storage → Clear data.
- Advertising identifier (Android app): reset or delete it at any time in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. Resetting it disconnects you from any past advertising profile.
What we hold on our side
Very little, and none of it is tied to your identity. Poems are generated on demand and not stored against a person; your IP address is used transiently to enforce rate limits and is not kept as an identity record. We never ask for or process photographs, contacts or location.
Asking us to delete something
Email support@banale.in with the subject line “Data deletion request”. Tell us anything that helps us find the record — for example the approximate date and time you used the service, or a share link you created. Because we do not hold accounts, we may not be able to locate data without that context.
We reply within 7 days and complete confirmed deletions within 30 days, as required by India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. There is no charge.
Advertising data held by Google
The Android app shows ads through Google AdMob, and the website through Google AdSense. Data those services hold is controlled by Google, not by us. You can manage or delete it at My Ad Center, and reset the advertising identifier on your device as described above. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland the app asks for consent before requesting personalised ads, and you can refuse.
